We had a hard few weeks, we were told our landlords were not renewing our lease.... this sent us for a spin as we had planned for long-term renting there. As we wept, devastated over our summer plans around the pool, the morbid thoughts of having to leave Clearwater, the church we loved, the ministry we felt called to, and all in the midst of momentum building in our community. We searched daily the market looking for a place to move to... with no hope, there was nothing. Our plans had failed.
But God!! Almost at the point of defeat....
It was around then that I received a phone call, from one of my bookkeeping clients... "How dare you?!" He said... I was shocked. Oh no, I have messed up something.... bad!!! "Uh, I'm sorry??" I said. He went on, expressing his disappointment that I didn't ask if he had any places available!! Ohhhh!!! He shared about this place he had, that he wasn't going to rent out again. We rushed out to take a look, only to discover it was more than we could have asked for... larger house, much larger property...and so much more!!
Just when we think we are going to have to do something so drastic, like move away, God intervened in a way that only He could have. We are blessed. Much more than we thought. It really is true that God's plans are better than ours.
